Last updated on Thursday, November 15, 2018

(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The Indiana Hoosiers used stifling defense and hot shooting as they rolled past No. 24 Marquette 96-73 in the Gavitt Tipoff Games.

The Hoosiers dominated one of the more potent offenses in the country as they held the Golden Eagles to 42 percent from the field and just 5-of-23 from 3-point range.

Indiana balanced a stout defense with blistering offense as they shot a scorching 63.6 percent from the field and hit nine 3s.

Romeo Langford was one of five Hoosiers to score in double figures and led the team with a game-high 22 points. Evan Fitzner came off the bench and added 16 points while Juwan Morgan led the team with eight rebounds.

The Hoosiers go for a 4-0 start to the season on Sunday when they visit Arkansas in their first road game.
