(AUSTIN, TX) - The Purdue Boilermakers suffered their third loss in four games as they came up short against Texas 72-68.
Despite a career-high 40 points from Carsen Edwards the Boilermakers were unable to contain Longhorns' guard Matt Coleman III who led Texas with 22 points including a pair of huge shots In the final minute that kept Texas in front. Matt Haarms was the only other member of Purdue to score in double figures as he had 10 points to go with four rebounds while Ryan Cline added 7 points.
Purdue was just 9-for-32 from 3-point range.
The Boilermakers are now off until Saturday when they play Notre Dame in the Crossroads Classic at Indianapolis' Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
