The vagaries of natural disasters are never a source of joy, yet Hoosier workers and businesses are benefiting from the efforts to rebuild the coastal areas.
Materials and labor are needed to rebuild the infrastructure in the devastated states. Roads, levees, bridges, electrical and other systems are in the process of being restored.
Orders will flow to our factories to replace goods damaged or destroyed by the storms. Machinery will be in high demand for specialized construction efforts.
At the same time, projects in Indiana may become more expensive as labor and materials flow to meet the needs along the Gulf Coast.
