A month ago it was dead. Now Police consolidation in Indianapolis is about to become a reality.
In mid-November the City-County Council voted down the Peterson plan for merging I-P-D and the Sheriff's department. But Republican Scott Keller says he'll change his vote and that means on Monday, the Council will try again and this time it looks like the consolidation will pass.
Keller says what swayed him was an amendment that restores more than 100 police jobs.
