At 20 locations around Indiana farmers, producers, tax accountants and other individuals can gather for a video conference this evening from seven to nine p.m. The subject will center on a management-oriented discussion of the recent tax law changes and their implications.
The information will originate at Purdue University. Our closest location will be at the Community Learning Center of Orange County in Paoli.
Congress has made it almost optional for farmers who invested in farm assets in 2005 to pay federal income taxes.
Producers will have the opportunity to ask questions by telephone or fax.
There is no charge for the program. It’s too early to tell if the weather might cause this program to be cancelled tonight. We’ll keep you posted.
