PRINCETON—Officials at the Toyota Plant in Princeton, Indiana say a welding spark may have started a fire that shutdown production for about five hours last week.
The fire occurred in the rrof of the plant's body-welding area, and officials believe a spark likely ignited insulation. No injuries were reported.
Officials say about 380 vehicles could have been produced during the shut-down, so production is being boosted this week and over the next few weeks to make up for the lost time.
