STATEHOUSE—The State Senate has approved legislation which would create a statewide Do-Not-Fax list.
Senator Tim Lanane's bill is modeled on Indiana's Do-Not-Call legislation, which he aslo authored.
The Attorney General's office could fine fax spammers as much as $1,500 for each violation of the law.
The bill now moves to the House for consideration.
