UNDATED—The U.. Department of Agriculture is offering help to Indiana farmers whose crops were damaged by drought conditions last summer.
Twenty-four counties have been designated as primary natural disaster areas, and farmers can apply for low-interest emergency loansthrough the Federal Farm Service Agency.
Counties locally that are eligible include, Crawford, Jackson, Orange, and Washington.
Twenty-five other counties may also be eligible for federal aid, locally they are Brown, Dubois, Lawrence, Martin adn Monroe.
