(UNDATED) - Indiana once again leads the nation in home foreclosures.
Foreclosures reached an all-time high in the final quarter of 2005.
With proceedings started against nearly 7,600 Hoosier homeowners. Nearly 1% of mortgage loans in service statewide entered foreclosure, more than double the national rate and the state's highest rate since 1979.
The increase is blamed on a rise in factory layoffs and personal bankruptcies. Indiana has led the nation in foreclosure proceedings since July 2004.
