(UNDATED) - The days of special extended hours at the post office on tax night are over.
Indianapolis Postal Service spokeswoman Kim Yates says taxpayers must get their tax returns in the mail by the end of business hours. Yates says many post offices are open now until 7pm. Yates also suggests you check the pick-up times on the blue boxes before you drop your return in the mail Monday. Make sure you don't drop your return in after the last pick-up of the day.
Yates also reminds taxpayers not to forget the stamp. Neither the Internal Revenue Service or the Indiana Department of Revenue will accept items with postage due.
