(BLOOMFIELD) - Greene Circuit Judge David K. Johnson is resigning after nearly 30 years on the bench.
Johnson says he's been talking with the Daniels administration the last three months about a possible part-time post with a state agency.
He says that appointment isn't a done deal yet, but says he thought it was the right time to step down. Daniels will name Johnson's successor.
Johnson was one of the youngest judges in the state when then-Governor Otis Bowen appointed him at age 29.
