(VINCENNES) - There was sparse turnout for a meeting in Knox County to discuss flipping back to Eastern Time…but officials there say that doesn’t mean emotions have cooled any.
Knox is one of at least seven western Indiana counties having second thoughts about their successful plea to switch to Central Time after the state adopted Daylight Saving Time.
Only four people attended the first of three meetings the county commissioners have scheduled on the issue. President Jim Bobe says that probably reflects the 9:00 a.m. meeting time.
Thousands of people have signed petitions pro and con. The commissioners plan a vote at an evening meeting next Monday.
