(STATEHOUSE) - More than four-million postcards will soon be sent out by the Indiana Secretary of State’s office as it begins to clean up the state’s voter list.
If a card is returned as undeliverable, a second notice will be sent, this time asking for a response and a possible forwarding address. If no response is received, the name will be placed on an "inactive" list. If the person doesn't vote within the next two years, they will be removed from the list of registered voters.
The Secretary of State's office expects to remove as many as one-million names.
