(VIGO COUNTY) - The FBI has joined an investigation into the burning of the letters “KKK” into the lawn of a black couple in Vigo County.
Sheriff's Department officials say they're investigating the appearance of the six-foot letters as a hate crime.
Despite the Ku Klux Klan reference, police say it's likely the lawn burning is the work of an individual or a small group of people, rather than an organization.
