(UNDATED) - Fourteen weeks after graduating from the Police Academy, 34 Rookie State Troopers are ready to try out their first patrol cars.
Troopers paraded their new rides out of the State Police Museum parking lot to head back to their districts.
The troopers are driving two-to-four-year-old hand-me-down cars. After a few years of safe driving, they'll move up to newer models.
Commanders issued final reminders to be careful on the road. State Police crashes average about one a day. 14 of the 42 troopers killed in the line of duty in the agency's history died in crashes.
