(FRANKLIN) - The wreckage of a plane that had been feared crashed has been found by Franklin County officials.
Around 1:30PM, a sheriff's deputy spotted the wreckage in a wooded area near Horse Shoe Bend Road in Southern Franklin County. The federal aviation administration is investigating the crash, which shows no signs of survivors.
The plane issued a distress call yesterday afternoon near Brookville Lake, but the search was halted after almost four hours due to darkness.
Authorities are contuining to investigate the crash.
