(INDIANA) - Police departments from several Indianapolis suburbs say they’re being overrun by hooligans from the Circle City.
Arrest statistics from Avon, Greenwood and Fishers all say large percentages of their crime is being committed by people with Indianapolis addresses. Avon Police Chief Jeff Ritorto blames the problem on jail overcrowing in Marion County.
Greenwood Police Chief Joe Pitcher is even more direct--he says Indianapolis simply doesn't put enough effort into public safety.
