(UNDATED) - An Indiana soldier was wounded last week while on patrol in Iraq.
Private first class Edward Trautner was shot in the face while riding in a Humvee.
Officials say the 20-year old Trautner is being treated at a hospital in Germany.
The incident resulted in Trautner losing his right eye.
Trautner lives near Valparaiso.
