(NASHVILLE) - A jury has been seated in Brown County in the trial of a man accused of killing his wife and leaving her body in the family hot tub.
Michael Smith contends his wife Linda fell and drowned.
Prosecutors say Smith killed his wife so he could collect on her insurance policy and settle debts related to an unsuccessful business.
Smith has a defamation of character suit pending against the sheriff's office in response.
