(INDIANAPOLIS) - Police bicyclists have turned over more than $19,000 to a charity supporting the families of officers killed in the line of duty.
A scheduled 13-day bike ride to raise the money was cut short last week when a crash in Vermillion County killed two of the riders: State Police Lt. Gary Dudley and former Lake County Chief of Police Gary Martin.
A ceremony at Crown Hill Cemetery's "Heroes of Public Service" memorial featured a children's choir, and a release of butterflies in memory of Dudley and Martin.
