(INDIANAPOLIS) - Membership in labor unions has been on the decline for a number of years.
Butler University economics professor Bill Rieber says it's due to continued loses in low skill production jobs as they head for other countries.
The primary purpose of the unions is better working conditions and higher wages.
Rieber says the unions have become successful with doing that but the standards have now dropped with a global economy.
