(UNDATED) - Ballard’s Farm Sausage of West Virginia is recalling its egg salad in Indiana and sixteen other states because of possible contamination.
The company says tests showed mixed results for bacteria that can cause fatal infections in children and the elderly, and miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.
Ballard's has suspended production of their egg salad while it investigates the contamination. Consumers can get a refund for the twelve-ounce containers of egg salad.
