(UNDATED) - The National Transportation Safety Board has spent hours in Lawrence County, Illinois, investigating the crash of a small airplane that killed a Vincennes businessman.
Clarence "Mac" McCormick was the pilot of the single-engine plane that disappeared from radar late Thursday night.
The plane apparently clipped the top of some trees before catching fire. Best Way Express chairman and CEO, McCormick was found dead Friday morning.
A worker at the Lawrenceville airport says the NTSB has been investigating the crash scene since Saturday morning.
