(INDIANAPOLIS) – IUPUI has established a website which chronicles the works of Indiana’s most famous poet.
Scores of original papers and photographs from the collection of James Whitcomb Riley are now available electronically.
The idea came after staff at the Hancock County Public Library received an $8,700 grant to make electronic replicas of the works. Library staff worked with IUPUI and the Riley Old Home Society to bring together 100 original letters, 200 photos and 24 early editions of Riley poems for the collection.
It can all be viewed at iupui.edu.
