(LOGANSPORT) - Danny Rouse, the man accused of killing a 16-year-old Cass County girl appeared in court Friday.
Rouse was formally charged with murder and criminal confinement. His trial date was set for February 7th and he is still being held without bond.
Rouse is accused of killing Stephanie Wagner. Her body was found in a Cass County corn field Wednesday evening. The two worked together at a Pulaski County restaurant which the two were seen leaving at the same time Halloween night.
Authorities say Rouse admitted to investigators that he pulled over because he had car trouble. Wagner stopped to help. That's when Rouse says he strangled and stabbed the girl. The murder weapon has not yet been discovered.
