(UNDATED) - Hundreds of thousands of Hoosiers will rise this morning from their turkey-induced comas to participate in a retail rite of passage.
Consumers are expected to fill malls, discount stores, and other shopping centers, looking for the best deals on holiday gifts items.
Indiana Retail Council President Grant Monahan says holiday season sales are expected to grow 5% in Indiana from last year.
He says day-after-Thanksgiving shopping has become a tradition for some families.
Monahan expects the most growth to occur in the electronics sector.
