(UNDATED) - If you aren’t driving during this long weekend more than likely you will be flying.
A record number of Hoosiers are expected to be heading to visit with family and friends this holiday season.
With airlines predicting the busiest Thanksgiving travel period ever, the Transportation Security Administration is reminding passengers about new security procedures. Indianapolis International is advertising its 311 campaign to help travelers remember what carry-on items will be permitted. You are allowed to bring several liquid or gel items, but they must be held in containers that are three ounces or less. Those containers all must fit into a one quart-size ziplock baggie. Each traveler must place that one baggie in a security bin for screening.
Even with the new rules, transportation officials say one item will be welcomed at airports in unlimited supply...patience.
