(UNDATED) - Bloomington and the Muncie area are two of the finalists for an IBM Customer Service Center that would oversee parts of the state’s welfare program.
The center would include one-thousand jobs. Governor Daniels wants to privative a segment of welfare at a cost of $1.6-billion.
He says the move would actually save the state $500-million that would be spent if the state continued to manage all facets of the program.
