(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Governor’s spokeswoman for a state weight-loss initiative is telling Hoosiers they’ll have to make a life-style change to get rid of those unwanted pounds.
Pam Smith, of Martinsville, was a contestant on the NBC show "The Biggest Loser," where she lasted seven weeks and lost 68 pounds before being eliminated. Smith says if she can lose weight, you can, too.
She gives credit to her husband, who took care of their two children while she was gone, and lost about 40 pounds at the same time. She says losing ten pounds in ten weeks isn't hard, but it does take some commitment.
The Governor's program urges Hoosiers to cut 250 calories a day from their diets and increase exercise to lose ten pounds in ten weeks.
