Body Found Not Purdue Student

(WEST LAFAYETTE) - A body found near West Lafayette is not that of missing Purdue freshman Wade Steffey.

Investigators received a call Tuesday afternoon saying a body had been found near the West Lafayette sewage treatment plant.

Authorities examined the remains and determined that they are not those of the 19-year-old.

Steffey has been missing for about two and half weeks.
