(WEST LAFAYETTE) - University and community members have begun a search for a missing Purdue student.
Several hundred people turned out Thursday to help look for Wade Steffey for any clues to his disappearance. The 19-year-old has not been seen since late Friday night at party on campus.
Purdue police captain Tim Potts says they're looking for anything that may help them locate Steffey. Detectives now say Steffey took money out of an ATM on campus around 8:00PM Friday night, but the bank recorded the transaction several hours later. They think he made a phone call around 12:30AM early Saturday morning to a friend in Owen Hall, possibly trying to get his coat.
Police and firefighters are leading five search teams across campus.
