(WEST LAFAYETTE) - Organizers in West Lafayette say hosting a fundraiser for missing Purdue student Wade Steffey will help keep him in the public eye.
Puccini's, a pizza and pasta place, held the fundraiser Saturday to raise money for a reward fund. The money is meant to pay for information that leads to finding Steffey, who disappeared from campus January 13th.
By 9:00PM Saturday, $1,000 had been raised. Police and volunteers have searched large parts of Tippecanoe County for 19-year-old Steffey, a Bloomington native.
