(FORT WAYNE) - A Fort Wayne woman who police say let her eleven-year-old niece drive her car—crashing it through the wall of a video store—has been placed on probation.
25-year-old Jennifer Dettmer agreed to plead guilty to charges of felony neglect of a dependent and a misdemeanor count of criminal recklessness.
She will spend one year on probation and pay $4,100 dollars in restitution.
At least two people suffered minor injuries after the girl drove Dettmer's car through a video store wall in September.
