(WEST LAFAYETTE) - A body has been found in a residence hall at Purdue.
Authorities are trying to determine its identity but cannot say if it belongs to missing freshman Wade Steffey.
Purdue officials say the body was found today in a utility area of Owen Hall. It is apparently a room that people at the building do not usually access.
The Tippecanoe County coroner is on the scene and Purdue spokeswoman Jeanne Norberg says the corpse was removed from the building just before three PM.
Steffey's parents, who live in Bloomington, are on their way to the campus.
