(INDIANAPOLIS) - A car chase ended peacefully this morning after speeding through rush hour traffic in Indianapolis.
Police say it began when Officer Jeffrey Wood tried to stop a car on the city's northeast side. Police say Steve Nighbert saw the squad cars and pulled out of an apartment complex at a high rate of speed
The pursuit wound through the east side and ended after officers spun Nighbert's car around several times to make him stop.
Nighbert was taken into custody at the scene and is facing numerous charges, including resisting arrest and criminal wrecklessness.
