(FRANKFORT) - Closing arguments have wrapped up in the case against a Clinton County man accused of attempted murder.
44-year old Shannon Hollars is on trial for trying to kill police officers who raided the home he allegedly used to deal drugs. Hollars' right arm had to be amputated following a gun battle with authorities.
Police say undercover cops made two separate buys of almost half a pound of marijuana each from Hollars a week before they broke into his home. Hollars testified in his own defense, saying he thought the police were burglars and he fired in self-defense.
A jury heard three days of testimony and began deliberating this afternoon.
