(EVANSVILLE) - Evansville firefighters were busy Monday after a CSX train ignited a brush fire along a half-mile stretch near the Vanderburgh County Jail, closing a busy train track.
A firefighter rushed back to his truck to turn on the water while battling a brush fire along U.S. 41. The truck had just left the scene when winds picked up and the flames intensified.
The fire was ignited by sparks from a train.
