(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two days after they failed one of two tests, Marion County tornado sirens will again be put through their paces today.
20 of 144 sirens did not sound during a morning test Wednesday, while a message to fire up the sounders in the evening was never received by Marion County Emergency Management.
Emergency Management Director John Ball says he believes the system will succeed in getting warnings out in a real emergency because there are a number of backup systems in place.
The origin of Wednesday evening's problem has not yet been diagnosed.
