(WEST LAFAYETTE) - Purdue University is calling on a consultant to reconstruct the electrocution of freshman Wade Steffey.
The 19-year-old was found dead last month in a high-voltage room at the West Lafayette campus, just yards from where he was last seen alive in January.
Purdue spokeswoman Jeanne Norberg confirms Houston-based Rimkus Consulting Group has been hired for the investigation. She says the company is an independent forensic consultant.
Purdue is bringing in the experts, hoping to learn as much as possible about what circumstances led to Steffey's death.
