(FORT WAYNE) - A Fort Wayne man has admitted to abducting and murdering a ten-year-old girl.
Simon Rios was scheduled to face a three-week jury trial starting April 23rd in connection with the death of Alejandra Gutierrez.
Delaware County Prosecutor Mark McKinney has agreed to recommend Rios serve life without parole. McKinney claims the victim's family consented to the agreement.
In Allen County, Rios faces the death penalty if convicted of killing his wife and their three young daughters. That jury trial is scheduled to begin in October.
