(UNDATED) - Indiana Conservation Officers are reminding Hoosiers that this weekend is Free Fishing Weekend.
All residents of Indiana are invited to pick up that old fishing pole and wet a line in Indiana Waters.
This Saturday and Sunday, Indiana residents, ages 17 to 64, will not be required to possess a valid Indiana Resident Fishing License, so there's no excuse not to take the kids fishing or rekindle your hopes of catching that big one that got away years ago.
But, all laws and rules that govern sport fishing will remain in effect, such as bag and size limits, and Conservation Officers will be on patrol insuring that they are not abused. If after this weekend you have rekindled your love of fishing you may purchase a license from a license vender or purchase a license by going online at www.IN.gov/dnr.
