(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana driver’s licenses are changing to guard against fraud, however, the biggest change may be the lowest-tech.
If you're under 21, your license will be printed vertical instead of horizontal. Governor Daniels says that will alert bar workers at a glance whether you're underage.
As an added check, the date you turn 18 will be highlighted in red, and your 21st birthday in yellow.
All licenses will contain new anti-counterfeiting measures. Your name, birthdate, and a second photo will be embedded in your picture, visible only under a black light.
The new licenses will be phased in, starting Friday. If you already have a license, you don't need a new one until it expires.
