(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis woman has been charged with child neglect after she allegedly left her one-year-old son alone in a hot car for more than 20 minutes.
Police say 23-year-old Chelsa Collier was inside the Indianapolis Star printing plant for an hour early this morning, arguing with her estranged husband while her son sat in the car in 77-degree weather. A telephone tip alerted police.
Authorities added charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after they told collier they were taking the boy into protective custody, and she put up a ruckus.
