(FORT WAYNE) - The state’s first, new digital driver license went to a state senator from Fort Wayne.
State Senator Tom Wyss got the new license Friday.
All of the new licenses feature the name and date of birth embedded in the photograph. There is also a ghosted image on the face of the card that's only visible under a special light.
The Bureau of Motor Vehicles will phase in the new license over the next six years. The new license will be available across the state in the next few weeks.
