(INDIANAPOLIS) - A new report indicates almost 71% of Indiana high school students graduate on time.
That percentage is above the nationwide average of 69.9%.
The Diplomas Count report also shows that just 41.6% of black Indiana students receive their diplomas, compared with the nationwide average of 53.4%.
About half of Hispanic students in Indiana graduated, compared with 57.8% nationwide.
The study was conducted by Education Week and the Editorial Projects in Education Research Center and sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
