(UNDATED) - High school and college students seeking summer employment will have a menu of jobs to take.
However, it may not be exactly what they want. Right now, Indiana is at a record low in terms of the unemployment rate.
But, according to Joe Dilaura with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, there have been recent layoffs in the manufacturing sector and that may make it a more competitive environment, since some of those laid off workers might be seeking other work.
Dilaura says retail and restaurants are a good place to look for temporary employment as well as the entertainment industry and summer camps.
