(INDIANAPOLIS) - Marion County has had a series of discussions and issues with the increase in property taxes, but what about the rest of the state?
Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman says that property taxes differ greatly throughout the state, with some people reporting decreases. She believes that the increases in Marion County are "unacceptable."
Skillman says it is a problem that needs to be addressed by everyone, because everyone is responsible for it.
Skillman also discussed what lead to the increase and why lawmakers draw money from the property.
