(UNDATED) - The 7th and last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be released at midnight.
University of Indianapolis professor Toni Morris teaches a Harry Potter class at the university. Will Harry Potter die at the end? Morris doesn't think so. She says Potter must once again take on evil, and she believes he will be victorious. She does question whether Potter will die doing so, but is optimistic that won't be the case. If it is, Morris says Potter's friends will assume a leadership in the community and carry on the battle for right. She says the magical world will be rebalanced in a classic narrative style.
As for the speculation that J.K. Rowling has to kill off Potter to prevent someone else from stealing the story line and moving forward, Morris says Rowling doesn't have to because she has so much control over the character.
