(INDIANAPOLIS) - A marine from Indianapolis says he acted in self-defense when he shot an Iraqi soldier in 2006.
After the military's version of a grand jury hearing in July, 21-year-old Delano Holmes was charged with murdering an Iraqi soldier as the two stood watch at a tiny observation post.
Holmes also was charged with making a false statement about the incident. He is scheduled for court-martial in December.
