(UNDATED) - Utility companies are still asking customers to conserve during the current heat wave.
Duke Energy says they've been able to meet demands, while Vectren says Thursday was a record-breaking day for usage.
Electric customers are asked to conserve usage by adjusting thermostats, turning off unnecessary lights, close the curtains on the sunny side of your home and avoid unnecessary use of appliances.
